Gedacolour Instructions

Gedacolor is a unique method of printing below the surface of anodised aluminium.

Gedacolor can be printed in full colour photographically and when sealed correctly can be used in an external environment for up to 10 years without fading or loss of performance.

Gedacolor plates are possibly the most vandal resistant materials available. The graphic elements are virtually indestructible by way of scratching. The surface can be spray painted or fouled and simply cleaned off using a recognised solvent cleaner.

All in all, Gedacolor is an extremely effective way of making enduring, quality graphics for an internal or external environment.

EXPOSING
Gedacolor aluminium panels are easily processed by way of water etching. The panels can be processed in the NovaPress 70 photopolymer processing machine ensuring a low capital expenditure in order to create top quality panels.

WASHOUT
Remove photosensitive plate with warm water.

DRYING
Dry the product thoroughly with a simple hair dryer.

PRINTING (OR INKING)
Flood the exposed images with special ink.

STRIPPING
Remove all resist material using special stripper.

SEALING
In order to make the product UV safe the plates must be sealed in a special solution of salt and water for between 1 and 2 hours.
